Allied Benefit System, Inc. is the claims payor for all medical and dental claims. For eligibility, benefits, claim inquiry, or to order additional ID cards, call 1-800-288-2078.

Search the Preferred Formulary Drug List at Caremark (formerly Pharmacare) or call 1-866-498-2247 (BCHP) for prescription coverage, mail order, and prescription questions.  

Call HealthSpan for precertification of hospital stays at 1-800-972-7726. Notify HealthSpan within 2 working days of emergency admissions. Search the HealthSpan website or call 1-888-914-7726 to verify in-network providers.

Outside the primary PPO network search the Multiplan website or call 1-800-672-2140 and search the Emerald Health web site or call 1-800-346-3141.

Principal Financial Group paid claims before January 1, 2008. If you logged on before 2008, you may view your claims online at the Principal website.
